WebOct 5, 2024 · That being said, the roller bearings do reduce oiling requirements of the engine. They do make it easier to turn over when maintenancing. The flip side, they may transmit harmonics, or possibly even create harmonics. There are now many more small parts in the engine assembly that can fail. I am an avid user of roller cam bearings.
