Webb2 aug. 2012 · Subjects with lacunar infarcts in the sublobar area (basal ganglia, thalamus, internal and external capsule) had a higher risk of MPS (OR, 2.0; 95% CI, 1.1–3.7), which was mainly driven by infarcts in the thalamus (OR, 3.5; 95% CI, 1.4–8.9). This risk disappeared after adjusting for WMLs and lacunar infarcts in the other regions.
